Lullaby 2012

"Lullaby" is a video work featuring hundreds of staff members from the Israel Museum—including the museum's director, curators, visitors, guards, and cleaning crew. Each participant responds to a request to sing a lullaby they remember from childhood or one they sang to their own children.

The lullabies are performed in dozens of languages and appear sequentially, creating a rich tapestry of cultural memory. The piece offers a critical reflection on the relationship between language, memory, and institutional hierarchy.
